Jamnagar gets the longest gift from Saurashtra, a 3.5 km overtake ready
Jamnagar, October 7 (IANS). A great achievement was achieved for the city of Jamnagar in Gujarat. Saurashtra’s longest 3.5 km fly, built at a cost of Rs 227 crore, is now completely ready. This bridge, drenched with colorful lights at night, has the power to change the map of the city. This ambitious project, which has been under construction since August 2021, which began with an award of Rs 20 crore from the Gujarat State Government, is now concluding. The bridge was erected at 139 pillars after seven routes from Subhash Bridge. This overtake, a 3,450 meters long, has four traces of 15 meters wide. There is also between seven roads and Oshwal Center in Indira Marg, and different ramps were also made to facilitate the movement of vehicles, including ramps in the direction of the Oshwal Center and near the Jada building. The application of reflectors and marking on the bridge is almost complete, and attractive lights are installed, which will offer a beautiful scene at night. Most importantly, Jamnagar Municipal Corporation will also use the place under this bridge. There are plans to set paid parking space, food zone, game zone and a civil center in the places between the pillars. This bridge will not only facilitate traffic, but also provide different services and entertainment opportunities for the citizens of the city. This large plane is expected to be inaugurated soon. DN Modi, Municipal Corporation Commissioner of the Municipal Corporation, said: “3.5 km long fly was built in Jamnagar, which starts from the subhash bridge in the city center and to the last end of the bridge. After completion, it will be the longest fly of Saurashtra.” He said that the estimated cost of the bridge amounts to about Rs 227 crore and is expected to be fully completed within the next 2.5 years.
