Women interested in science compared to men: research
Science is often considered a field related to logic, analysis and experiment – and is also traditionally dominated as male. However, over time, women also contributed significantly to the field. But a recent research has revealed the shocking thing that women, despite the same scientific abilities, are less interested in science than men. It was concluded that Germany’s Nobel Prize -winning scientific Christian Nasleen Wollard, who offered a research based on gender -based trends in science. Wollad was awarded the Nobel Prize in the field of Physiology in 1995. The unveiling in the ‘Nobel series’ in Goa addressed teachers, students and researchers at the three -day ‘Nobel Series’ program held in Goa, India. The event was organized by the Department of Science and Technology, the Government of NobelMedia and the Government of Goa. In his speech, he clearly said: “There is no basic difference in scientific abilities between women and men, but despite this, the number of men in the field of science is more.” They also added that women should have opportunities in advance to move forward in science so that they can use their skills and knowledge. Why do women have less interest in science? To answer this question, Wollard shows on social and professional structures. He said: “It has become a tendency for men to choose big and challenging professions. I got the chance to work in an environment where my colleagues were mostly men. It makes women hard to move forward.” She says that women and men have the same spiritual abilities, but the role and expectations of women in society prevent them from being completely dedicated in areas such as science. Why less women participation in the Nobel Prize? Wollad was also asked why so few women received Nobel Prize in the field of science. He said that this problem is due to women who do not have enough opportunities from the beginning. “If women get equal opportunities, they can achieve just as great scientific achievements as men.” Wollad also acknowledged that the circumstances are now changing gradually and that the participation of women in the field of science and research is growing, especially in countries such as India. The future of women in India Bright Christian Wollard showed an optimistic stance on the future on the scientific field of Indian women. He said: “The presence of women in the field of education and science in India is constantly increasing. If they get the right direction, resources and incentives, they may be one of the best scientists in the world.” Their remark is especially important because in countries such as India, girls still need extra motivation to choose scientific subjects. Conclusion Christian Afternoon Wollad’s research and experience make us think why women remain the scientific world, although they have the same ability. It is not only an educational or intellectual issue, but also the result of social structure, inequality of traditions and opportunities. The need is that we inspire girls from childhood to science, give them a favorable environment for experimentation, observation and analysis. Only then will we be able to create a world where scientific laboratories and research institutions are true to become examples of gender equality.
