Jeffrey Epstein's death a murder? FBI can release prison video to confirm suicide | Today news
The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) reportedly said it would release footage of Jeffrey Epstein to confirm that the billionaire and the convicted sex offender had died by suicide. The move is likely to get rid of conspiracy theories that Epstein could kill. The authorities maintained that “no one was there but he” at the time of his suicide in prison. FBI deputy director Don Bongino told Fox & Friends: “There is a video. You will see that there is no one but he is … There is a video -clear day, he is the only person in it and the only person in it.” Epstein, 66, was found in a prison in a jail cell in the Metropolitan Correctional Center in New York on August 10, 2019. He awaited the federal charges of federal conspiracy and charges of sex trade. His death is a suicide. Nevertheless, conspiracy theorists believed that Epstein’s death was murder. “I tell people, if you have a tip, let us know,” is quoted by the people. He added: “But there is no DNA, there is no sound, there are no fingerprints, there are no suspects, there are no accomplices, there are no tips. There is nothing. If you have it, I’m glad to see it.” Bongino said his office “works” the video. “There is a video and if you watch the video – and we will release it, we are working to clean it up to make sure you have an improved – and we will give the original, so you don’t think there is shenanigans – you won’t see anyone in it, but he’s just nobody there,” Bongino said. “I’m just telling you what we see in the file,” Bongino said Thursday when asked about the matter. “I just want to be crystal clear about this. I don’t ask anyone to believe me. I tell you what’s there and what doesn’t, ‘he said. “There will be a disclosure about this soon,” he added as he mocked the video.
