Jimmy Fallon, Keegan-Michael Key makes a surprise on Lions' home game
Detroit had a double dose of Star Power on Sunday, as show host Jimmy Fallon and Michigan native actor Keegan-Michael Key attended the Detroit Lions’ home opener at Ford Field. The celebrities were spotted during the Lions’ week 2 match against the Chicago Bears, where Fallon saw the crowd on the broadcast while waving a ‘one pride’ flag. Key, a longtime Lions supporter, looked, smiled and slapped the moment, while the team led 21-7 during the first half. Veteran rapper Eminem was also seen during the game. Their appearance was not just for sports-the two are in the city to film a special Detroit-based episode of The Tonight Show in the Detroit Opera House. The suspension, which is part of the program’s travel series, will appear on NBC on Monday, September 15. Although Key is not strange to Ford Field because of its strong ties with the team and the city, Fallon’s connection to any specific NFL club remains unclear. However, his lively Como at the game was part of the run -up to the very expected recording. With the Lions after a promising start on the field and a national spotlight shining on Detroit, the night brought together football and entertainment in perfect synchronization.
