The art, talent and skills of Jharkhandi Didis echo in the Saras Livelihood Fair in Delhi
Ranchi, September 22 (IANS). The Saras Livelihood Fair, held at the Major Dhyanchand Stadium in New -Delhi from September 5 to 22, became a strong platform of hard work and skills of Jharkhand rural women. Under the ‘Palash’ and ‘Adiva’ brand of Jharkhand State Livelihood Promotion Society, women from Jharkhand set up a total of seven stalls on the fair, where more than Rs 25 Lakh was traded. ‘Palash’ branding products such as Ragi Laddus, pure honey, black wheat flour and Arhar Dal and non-food products such as soap and lemon grass oil customers were pleasing to the customers. Chief Minister Hemant Soren and Deepika Pandey Singh, Minister of Rural Development, also appreciated the entrepreneurship of these women on social media and wanted a bright future. Rural Development Minister Deepika Pandey Singh himself visited the fair terrain and encouraged women by visiting the stall. He said that women in the countryside make the identity of Jharkhand with their skills and that the government is committed to all possible cooperation. Soni Devi of Godda became a good example of this, which traded more than Rs 3 Lakh from the sale of Tasar Silk Saris, Passages and Dupattas. He acknowledged that this fair also gave him the opportunity to learn and share experiences, not just businesses. The jewelry of the ‘Adiva’ brand also made a splash on the fair. Delhi likes traditional jewelry from Jharkhand such as Silver Mandli, Jhoba Sikri, Pachhuwa, Double Jhumka and other metal jewelry. It is the same art that was once at the point of extinction, but now ‘Adiva’ makes its mark on the national stage through the brand. Women of Jharkhandi Sakhi Mandal did not leave in the field of kitchen. Traditional dishes such as Dhuska, Dal Peetha and Ghughni won the taste of Delhiites and Jharkhand received a third prize in the live food category. -Ians SNC/SCH SHARE THIS STORY TAGS
