Judge rejects Nadiem's preliminary, status of suspect in the case of corruptions
Jakarta – The only judge at the South Jakarta District Court (PN Jakel) rejected the preliminary hearing proposed by former Minister of Education and Culture Nadiem Anwar Makarim. This means that Nadiem’s suspicious status remains valid. “Reject the preliminary request of the applicant,” Monday (13/10/2025) said the single judge I Ketut Darpawan in the main course of the South Jakarta District Court. The investigation into the alleged corruption case in the acquisition of Chromebook laptops involving the suspect Nadiem Makarim continues. The judge said the investigation and detention conducted by the attorney -general was in accordance with procedures. Nadiem also gave a number of reasons in the pre -trial, ranging from no audit from state losses to errors in providing its identity. The Attorney General’s office answered the provisional lawsuit.
