The Supreme Court described the incident as “excitement”, saying that the minor in prostitution is a danger to society. The Court made it clear that the magistrate’s order is in accordance with section 18 (1) of the Emoral Traffic (Prevention) Act, 1956, and there is no mistake in it. Chief Justice Harish Tandon and Justice MS Raman’s bank delivered the verdict while hearing a petition against the order Puri SDM gave on March 27, 2025. The court said in its ruling that children are innocent, dependent and traumatic. Their lives must be filled with joy, peace, sports, learning and moving forward. They can’t wait for tomorrow, they sprout every day. The court also said that the laws were changed from time to time for the safety of women and girls of the country. The Supreme Court sternly said that such a step against criminals is needed to send a clear message in society that the exploitation of women and children will not be tolerated at any cost. It is striking that the police at a hotel under the Puri Talbania police station were attacked on the charge of body trade. During the attack, it was revealed that a minor and his sister were taken to different places and forced to attend prostitution. Police have registered a case under different divisions and began investigating the incident. Puri ADM has ordered the closure of this hotel for three years. The person who entered into the hotel on the lease has filed a case in the Supreme Court. Additional standing council Sanjay Rath advocated the government’s case.
