The aim is to form a negative opinion as if investigators’ handling of migrant cases was wrong. “Defendants Juanedi Saibih, Marcella Santoso and Tian Bahtiar created the Jak Forum TV program on Jak TV with the aim of shaping public opinion that the handling of corruption cases in the provision of export facilities for crude palm oil and its derivatives is criminalization carried out by the Prosecutor’s Office against the accused migrant corporations,” the prosecutor said. The prosecutor said Junaedi et al also created a defense scheme by creating negative narratives and negative opinions involving whistleblowers to influence the process of handling tin commodity trading cases. The prosecutor said that negative opinions were also spread on social media. “Marcella Santoso and M Adhiya Muzzaki generated negative opinions using social media buzz about the handling of corruption cases in the tin commodity trading system in the Mining Business Permit (IUP) area at PT Timah Tbk,” the prosecutor said. The prosecutor said that the same attempt was also made in the sugar import case in the form of creating negative content and opinions about the handling of the case by investigators from the Indonesian Attorney General’s Office. Prosecutors said Junaedi, Tian and Muzzaki tried to destroy evidence by deleting WhatsApp chats and throwing away cellphones. “Accused Juanedi Saibih and Marcella Santoso, Tian Bahtiar and M Adhiya Muzzaki destroyed evidence by deleting WhatsApp chats and discarding mobile phones whose contents were related to criminal acts of corruption in the provision of export facilities for crude palm oil and its derivatives in the palm oil industry, cases of criminal acts of corruption in the PT trade systems Timmodah I. area in 2015-2022 and cases of criminal acts of corruption in sugar import activities at the Ministry of Trade 2015-2023,” the prosecutor said.
