Good news before Haj pilgrimage, Saudi Arabia extended the quota of India; Relief for private operators – ryan

ANI, New Delhi. Saudi Arabia has increased India’s Haj quota. After the intervention of the Government of India, the Saudi Haj Ministry has also given relief to private Haj operators. The quota of private Haj operators to send 10,000 Hajigars was canceled due to delay in the document. It has been restored after the efforts of the Government of India.

The Ministry of Minority Affairs said on Tuesday that Haj quota has increased during Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s tenure. In 2014, when Narendra Modi took over the post of Prime Minister, India’s Haj quota was 1,36,020. With the efforts of the government, India’s quota has gradually increased to 1,75,025 in 2025.

All preparations for Haj pilgrimage completed

The ministry said that all necessary preparations for Haj pilgrimage have been completed. This year the Haj pilgrimage is expected to be between June 4 to June 9, 2025. The Ministry of Minority Affairs posted an X posted that the Government of India gives high priority to facilitate Haj pilgrimage to Indian Muslims. With continuous efforts, India’s Haj quota has increased from 136,020 to 175,025 in 2014 to 175,025.

26 allocated quota as 26 HGOs

  • The Ministry of Minority Affairs is managing arrangements for 122,518 pilgrims out of 1,75,025 quota in the current year under the main quota through the Indian Haj Committee. All necessary preparations have been completed flights, transport, Meena camps, housing and services.
  • The remaining 52,507 Kota Private Haj Group Operators (HGO) have been allocated. Due to Saudi criteria, the Ministry has allocated quota in advance as 26 HGOs to more than 800 operators.
  • However, HGOs failed to complete Saudi Arabia in the scheduled time limit and despite repeated reminiscent of Meena could not finalize the contracts required for camps, housing and transport. Hence his quota was canceled.
  • India interacted with the Saudi Arabia government at the ministerial level to ensure facilities. The Saudi Haj Ministry has now agreed to open the Haj portal again for the CHGO. The Ministry has issued immediate instructions to the CHGO to complete its procedure without any delay.
