Important Rules of UPI will change from August 1, Google Pay, Phonepe users will not be able to do this again and again
The new rules associated with UPI will be implemented from 1 August 2025. If you pay daily by paym, phonepe, gpay or any other UPI app, these changes are needed for you. The National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI), an organization running UPI system, has determined these restrictions to reduce pressure on the system and reduce problems such as transaction error or delay. These changes will not affect the necessary transactions, but boundaries are imposed on things like control of balance, refreshing status. NPCI says it will be easier and reliable, especially if more people make transactions at the same time. What are the new boundaries on UPI from August 1? From next month, UPI users can only check their account balance 50 times. In addition, users who have repeatedly checked the bank account linked to their cellphone number will now only do it 25 times. These restrictions have been imposed so that the system does not load unnecessarily, which often reduces velocity or transactions. Will the outopes affect? Yes, NPCI is now implementing a fixed time limit for UPI Autope Transactions. This means that the fixed payments such as subscription, EMI, electricity water bills will not be randomly throughout the day, but will be processed at a fixed time. This is definitely a technical change, but it will reduce the accumulation of the system and improve speed. Will every UPI user be affected? In short, yes. Whether you use UPI once a day or 20 times, these restrictions apply to everyone. However, if you do not see your balance or status again and again, it will not be a big problem for you. These changes are actually kept in mind, the more useful users who load more on the well -known system. Has the transaction limited change changed? No. The payment limit will remain the same – in most cases per transaction to Rs 1 lakh and up to Rs 5 lakh in some categories such as health care or education. There will be no change in these boundaries at the update of August 1. Should users do something? No, you don’t have to do anything. These new rules will be automatically implemented by your UPI programs. Just take care of the boundaries so that there is no problem like having transactions during the day. Will it affect traders and accounts? Yes, to a great extent. Now Autope Transactions will only be done on time, so businesses that do automatic collection of UPI will have to work according to their time. But for most users – whether it’s a mobile recharge or a subscription like Netflix – everything will work the same.
