On June 6, Ed Sheeran released the video for Sapphire, a song he had mocked for a while. The three-minute video was shot in a guerrilla style during his visit to India and contains tracks of him that meet motorcycling and fans. What excited Indian fans is the fact that the video, as well as the song, also contains Arijit Singh. The Bollywood singer is seen on his scooter around his hometown, Jiaganj, a small village in the Murshidabad district in Western Bengal row. Ed Sheeran calls Arijit “The Final Jigsaw Piece” of the song. He teased that a full Punjabi version with Arijit is also coming soon. Meanwhile, a re -created version of the song was released on YouTube. Apparently done with AI, this version of Sapphire is completely sung by Arijit Singh. The video, which was uploaded by the YouTube user on June 7, has watched Rajveera, has so far watched more than 1 million times, even if it is not actually a video. An AI-created photo of Arijit Singh and Ed Sheeran floats on the screen while the sound plays. Livemint decided not to share/include the AI version. Another user wrote: ‘Ai slowly stole our feelings. “That’s fine, but the original is masterpiece because AI does not create art with feeling and emotions. The Youtuber may not be aware that in 2024, Arijit Singh filed a case against the use of AI to imitate his voice. And he won the case. The Bombay High Court, while calling it ‘technological exploitation’, gave Singh interim to Singh in his copyright case against AI platforms because he abused his voice and image. According to the court, the use of someone’s voice or face breaks their personality rights without permission.
