Iraq is expanding in localization of the drug industry in a market of $ 5 billion
Iraq is a witness to a qualitative shift in the drug industry’s localization, as the number of factories has risen to 33 factories, while there are dozens under construction, which include factories specialized in cancer crops, biological medicine, vaccines and vaccines, according to the Majid Shankali, Head of the Iraqi. He said in an interview with “Al -Sharq” that the drug market in Iraq, which is $ 5 billion annually, should set a mechanism that promotes the local industry, so that ambition is not only limited to local demand but expands to exports. Shankali added that the Iraq health sector needs new legal legislation to attract investments, including an update in health insurance laws, popular clinics and the management of the private sector of government hospitals. The amount of government spending on the health sector is $ 8 billion annually, which represents $ 30% of the sector size, because Die Burger has 70% of the cost of its treatment.
