Kakorlantas revealed that the 'Polantas greeting' program was welcomed by Gen Z
Jakarta -National Police Kakorlantas inspector -General Agus Suryonugroho said the ‘Polantas greeting’ program to educate orderly traffic was welcomed by Generation Z. Korlantas held the program directly in schools for Islamic residences. “It seems that Generation Z, young people in Pesantren, likes to communicate these schools with Polantas (traffic police) so they don’t have to be. They are aware of the importance of safety,” Agus said Friday (19/9/2025). It has been transferred by AGUs to coincide with the day of traffic safety and national road transport today. Agus said the program was performed with the aim of suppressing the large number of accidents on the highway by prioritizing education rather than law enforcement. Agus said the decline occurred significantly compared to the previous year. “We explain when an accident died, that’s all. And it was a decrease from semester one 2024 to 2025 almost 1,800 accident events for 6 months. So there was a decline,” Agus said. In addition to the decline in the number of accidents, Agus said that the deaths of the death toll experience a positive tendency. The death slices dropped to 19.8 percent. “So the number is 2,512,” Agus said. Nevertheless, Agus hopes that the momentum of national traffic safety days can further promote public awareness to make the highway a safe space. “Hopefully our friends with the National Security Day, the day of traffic and traffic safety, survived the road. That’s the most important,” he said. Also watch the video: Kakorlantas work with Ojol Collaboration touring the safety of traffic (Lir/HRI)
