Kamrup can get CNG bus services from New Year’s Day

Assam News Desk, 100 buses were purchased under Guwahati Smart City project to reduce pollution. The specialty of these buses is that these traditional diesel engines will be used with compressed natural gas. The state has recently ordered 200 economic buses to prevent pollution in the city and neighboring areas, and then expanded it to the rest of the state. Many of these buses were given to the Assam State Transport Corporation. And a report has suggested that this organization can start operating from the beginning of next year. Compressed natural gas or CNG stations are also installed in the city to serve these vehicles and create a network of fuel points. Since CNG is cheaper than other fuel, people from the region are expected to move to this fuel immediately to the network. Parimal Sukhabadyya mentioned earlier, “Our initial goal is to set up CNG gas stations, and by next year, Assam will be able to use CNG vehicles. It can take some time for private companies to express interest in the start of CNG stations, which may have gas stations. ASTC president Ranjan Das said: “We ordered 100 electric buses with 31 seats worth Rs 142 crore and a bid for the purchase of extra 100 buses. Tata cars were contacted about the purchase, and as a result, 68 buses were delivered to the city and the remaining 32 buses were sent. Kamarup News Desk !!! Share this story
