Karnal was divided under new excise policy into 54 beverage areas

The Haryana Aksin and Tax Division divided the Karnal district into 54 excise areas under the state’s amended excise policy for the 2025-27 cycle, the reserved price Rs 580.36 crore. At the same time, the department has announced revised dialect programs and amendments aimed at increasing the participation of bidders and facilitating their financial obligations. Naresh Kumar, Deputy Axque and Tax Commissioner of Kaithal, said that the district was divided into 32 areas with a reserve price of Rs 302.19 crore for the 21 months Niti cycle. The allocation of quota contains 11,16,660 pl for indigenous beverages, 26,22,320 pl for IMFL and 4.585 cases for IFL. According to the Deputy Aksin and Tax Commissioner (Excise), the time limit for e-consent was extended from May 30 to May 31. The window to submit the new tender will now be open on May 30 at 9am and close on May 31 at 4pm. The results will be declared at 5pm on the same day. Neveraj said that the award of Karnal liquor quota under the new policy 1,39,91,660 proof liter (PL) for domestic beverages, 47,14,290 pl for foreign beverages (IMFL) manufactured in India and 47,665 cases for imported foreign beverages (IFL). Neveraj said the revised policy on May 20 includes major changes in the deposit structure. He said: “The preliminary deposit required on the day of the award was reduced from 3% to 2%. The total deposit was also revised from 15% of the license fee to 11%.” 9% out of 11% will be adjusted in the last two months of the policy period – February and March 2027 (every 4.5%).
