Karur Stampede has confirmed the death of 38 people so far, including ten children, commission formed for inquiry
Chennai, September 28 (IANS). So far, 38 people have been confirmed in the Bhadgad incident in Karur, Tamil Nadu. Tamil Nadu Director -General of the Police (DGP) G. Venkataraman said that the dead include 12 men, 16 women, 5 sons and 5 girls, that is, a total of 10 children. DGP G Venkataraman addressed the media about the Karur incident. He said it was a very unfortunate incident. He said we acted immediately after the incident and 2000 policemen, including 3 police inspectors, 2 deputy chiefs of police and ten police superintendents, led by additional director -general of police Davidson. He said the venue was assigned at his request to keep in mind the previous programs of Tamilga Vatri Kazhagam (TVK). Although he expected about 10,000 people to come, but about 27 thousand people gathered. During Vijay’s campaign, 500 security men were deployed for security.
