Buddha Samyak Darshan Museum-Cum-Smriti Stupa will be prepared in Vaishali, CM Nitish Kumar will set up on July 29
Bihar’s Vaishali district will soon get another historical and cultural identity. The Buddha Samyak Darshan Museum-Cum-Smriti Stupa dedicated to the global Buddhist heritage will be inaugurated by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on July 29. This large stupa will further enrich the intellectual and spiritual map of Bihar. This monument, devoted to the reminder of Buddha’s life and its principles, will become an important center of reverence and attraction, not only for India, but also for Buddhist followers around the world. Preparations for the opening ceremony are in full swing and the program is expected to have monks out of 15 Buddhist countries. These countries contain important names such as China, Japan, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Nepal, Tibet, Myanmar, Bhutan, Vietnam, Malaysia, Laos, Cambodia, Mongolia, Bangladesh and Indonesia. This museum-Cum-Malo stupa was built by the building construction department, which is proof of its greatness and quality. The architectural design of the stupa is a wonderful confluence of Buddhist architectural traditions and modern features. It depicts the life associations associated with Buddha, Bodhi Tree, Dhamachakra and other Buddhist symbols in an attractive way. Vaishali saw many important events in the life of Lord Buddha. This is where Buddha rained many times and gave his teachings. In such a situation, the construction of this monument here is a big step towards the erection of Vaishali as an international Buddhist pilgrimage. Along with the advent of Buddhist monks, the presence of various diplomats and foreign representatives during the ceremony is also expected. Through this program, it is the Bihar government’s effort to further strengthen the Buddhist circle and the state must be established as an important place on the international map in terms of tourism. Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has already made it clear that the preservation and encouragement of the Buddhist heritage of Bihar is one of his priorities. This memory stupa of Vaishali is a good step in the same direction. This historical initiative will give Vaishali a new identity worldwide and it will become a center of inspiration for Buddhist devoted, tourists and researchers in the coming years.
