Naveen Patnaik angry after the attack on the former MLA of BJD, question about law and order
Bhubaneswar, April 13 (IANS). After the attack on former Biju Janata Dal (BJD) Mla Pranab Balabantrai in the Jajpur district Odisha, the leader of opposition and party president Naveen Patnaik on Sunday questioned the law and order situation in the state. He urged the state government to take strict action against the people involved in the incidents of political violence. Patnaik wrote on his X account: “The Day -Tot -Day attack on Pranab Balabantrai, a young BJD leader and former MLA of Dharamshala, exposed the weakened law and state situation in the state. While attacking the BJP government, Patnaik claims, “the state government, indifference and partisan attitude to combat anti -social elements and activities further promote such incidents. The government must immediately fight instead of promoting political violence.” According to the information, the car from the former MLA to the Aruha village in Dharamshala was attacked in a religious program on Sunday, attacked by unknown crimes armed with wood, bamboo and sharp weapons. After receiving the information of the incident, the Jenapur police inspector reached the place with the additional police force and controlled the situation. Balabantarai claims: “When I got out of Bhubaneswar, I realized that such an incident was going to happen. I informed Jajpur’s Superintendent and told them about it. The whole incident happened in the presence of the police. This is very embarrassing.” In the midst of all, the BJD claimed that the attacker is a BJP worker and a co -worker of the local Dharamshala Mla Himanshu Shekhar Sahu. BJD immediately arrested the accused involved in the incident. Meanwhile, Dharamshala MLA denied his involvement of his colleagues in the incident, saying that a violent incident had occurred due to a quarrel between two groups of the local BJD organization. -Ians PSK/CBT Share this story Tags
