The Ministry of Transmigration (Kementrans) will ensure that foreign investment offers direct benefits for local communities. This is in line with the guidance of President Prabowo Subianto, so that people become the most important beneficiaries of every investment activity in the region. “Alhamdulillah, of the 3,800 workers in the Maloy Transmigration Area, Kaliorang, 80 percent of them are local communities. That’s what we want, so the human being becomes a priority,” Minister of Transmigration (Menrtrans), Iftitah in his statement, Tuesday (9/30/2025). IFTITAH explained, LX International dared to invest a major investment because of the potential for available natural resources, ranging from oil palm to coal. Furthermore, itftita also explained that there are three main principles that must be presented in the use of transmigration land. First, the maximum employment of the transmigrant community and locals. Second, community empowerment to participate in the development of investment. Third, there is a profit sharing system (profit sharing) that benefits not only the company, but also the community and the state through -tax income (PNBP). “In addition to LX, there are also investors from Malaysia planning to build airports in this area through the construction and transfer (BOT) scheme. They ask permission to use 75 hectares of transmigration soil for runway. Later, the airport will be handed over to the state,” he said. To attract more investment in the transmigration area, IFTITAH highlights the importance of trust and stability. The business world, he said, requires certainty to risk it to invest his capital. “We need investors, but let our people not abandoned. The business world has to embrace local workers so that their well -being increases,” he said. In addition, the Ministry of Transport is also preparing an office for project facilitation (PFO) as a center for help for investors. Through PFO, the government will help to facilitate coordination with relevant ministries, including the Ministry of Investment, ESDM, Forestry, Trade, abroad. “We as a regulator will be a bridge between the business world and the community. In accordance with the guidance of the president, we need investment to build the economy, but the Indonesian population should not be marginalized,” IFTITAH concluded. (Ega/Ega)
