Leh, October 5 (IANS). Lieutenant -Governor Kavinder Gupta responded on Sunday to claim a full state status to Ladakh. He said that ongoing peace is the basis of progress and that the administration is committed to ensuring the development, stability and prosperity of Ladakh. He gave chairman of the high -level security assessment meeting at Leh and the assurance to sing the remaining restrictions. General Secretary Dr. Pawan Kotwal, director of the police dr. SD Singh Jamwal, Dig Srinagar South Pk Singh, Deputy Commissioner of Leh, senior police superintendent, CO 79 Sanjay Kumar and CO 25 Rajat Jain were present. The officials informed the lieutenant -governor of the current situation that peace is left in Ladakh and daily life and public activities are smooth. The Lieutenant -Governor appreciated the cooperation of administration, security forces and people. Praised the discipline and responsibility of the public for maintaining peace during the recent recreation. He emphasized on maintaining coordination, vigilance, active participation and community involvement among the agencies. Repeat the commitment to ensure the safety and well -being of each citizen. The Lieutenant -Governor said that precautions will be revised soon and that they will be removed if stable. The administration is committed to restoring a complete normal situation. He emphasized transparent, accountable and published management, and he said that the collective efforts of the government and people would take Ladakh on the path of peace and progress. The meeting took place after the predecessor and restrictions were imposed after the violence on September 24, when the protests became violent over the claim for state status and the sixth schedule.
