During the Mughal regime, Aurangzeb destroyed the idols of the ancient Jain Tirthankaras at the foot of the Gwalior fort. Preeti Kushwaha, a Narwar resident in Shivpuri, went to see these idols with her friends. Meanwhile, as he made the pulley, Preeti used abusive language with the idols of Jain Tirthankaras. Not only that, he and his friends saw him wear shoes and slippers in the lap of idols. When this video became viral on social media, there was a great outrage in the Jain community. The people of the Society submitted a memorandum to Gwalior SSP Dharamvir Singh demanding him to register a fir and arrested the pulley. Preeti removed the controversial video from her Instagram id after this video became viral and controversy. He then apologized by uploading a new video. In this, Preity and her partner told them that they did not know that it was Jain idols. Both accepted their mistake and apologized to the Jain community.
