Odisha: Elderly woman declares dead in Puri, the hospital gave information about serious condition
Puri, September 15 (IANS). A proper case came to light in Puri district’s headquarters hospital, where an elderly woman was first considered dead, but it was later found that she was alive. The incident created heavy confusion and discussion in the local community. Dr. Mahavir, senior medical officer at the hospital, clarified the situation by clarifying the case. Dr. Mahavir said that the said elderly woman was taken to hospital with his family. The family said that there had been no movement or reaction with the woman since the morning, which felt she was dead. Before he brought the hospital, the family showed a non-doctor of the town who accidentally declared the woman dead. Usually, the funeral process begins in such a situation, but the family, while understanding, decided to bring the woman to Puri District Hospital for investigation. During the medical examination in the hospital, doctors found that the woman’s heart and lungs were still functioning, although she did not respond to external stimuli. Their neurological position is extraordinarily delicate, and she does not respond to any instructions or stimulation. Dr. Mahavir has notified that the woman needs intensive medical unit (ICU) and ventilator support. But due to a lack of ICU bed at Puri District Hospital, he was referred to high medical centers such as SCB Medical College in Cuttack. Unfortunately, these hospitals refused to recruit the patient with reference to the unavailability of the bed. Dr. Mahavir made it clear that the condition of the woman remains critical. The family agreed to accept any result. The Puri District Hospital Administration has called on the people to contact the nearest government hospital without delay in such an emergency and avoid relying on doctors who have not been functioned. -Ians Sch Share This Story Tags
