Law and order failure in Uttar Pradesh, atrocities at Dalits and Muslims increased: Imran Masood

New -delhi, October 6 (IANS). The congress demanded the resignation of Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath, in the merciless murder of a Dalit youth in the Rae Bareli district Uttar Pradesh, claimed that the law and order in the state completely collapsed and increased the atrocities on Dalits, women and Muslims. The congress addressed a press conference at the All India Congress Committee headquarters, President of Congress Rajendra Pal Gautam and MP Imran Masood claimed that the law and order in Uttar Pradesh completely collapsed and that the criminals were running around. Congress leaders also showed video recording of defeating a Dalit youth in Rae Bareli, who was beaten to death in front of the cameras. He said the attackers when he mentioned Rahul Gandhi earlier. Rajendra Pal Gautam demands the resignation of the Chief Minister and demands compensation from one crore calls to the families of such incidents. He also said that these cases should be heard in the fast track court at a time. Rajendra Pal Gautam said that there was a worrying increase in atrocities at Dalits in Uttar Pradesh over the past ten years and that institutional discrimination became common. Referring to the National Crime Records Bureau, he said that in five BJP erected states there was a 75 percent increase in cases of atrocities on Dalits, of which 26.2 percent took place in Uttar Pradesh alone. At the same time, Imran Masood claims that the Constitution of the country is at risk. The Yogi government has completely failed on the issue of law and order and corruption. Crimes against Dalits, women and Muslims are increasing. The Yogi government openly violates the guidelines of the Supreme Court and a bulldozer campaign is underway in the state. The rule of BJP’s ideology is not in law, not the law in the country. The BJP provides protection to those who spread hatred and violence. He further said that the leader of the opposition Rahul Gandhi talked to the victim’s family on the phone. Apart from this, the amethi parliamentary member Kl Sharma and the president of the state congress Ajay Rai also met the victim’s family.
