Pulse prices: a rapid drop in pulses prices, farmers upset; Know what's the matter - Pulse pris trap farmers are being worked
Farmers are upset because of the rapid drop in the pulses of pulses. The price of Arhar Dal came to a position about four years ago. As a result, ordinary people get relief, but farmers do not get the expected profits. So far, more than 2 million tonnes of peas have been imported in the current financial year. Arvind Sharma, New -Delhi. The pulses of Pulse drop rapidly due to the priority of large amounts of imports in pulses in the next four years. The price of Arhar Dal came to a position about four years ago. As a result, ordinary people get relief, but farmers do not get the expected profits. In light of the continuous increase in the values of pulses, farmers have begun to grow the pulses, but their enthusiasm could possibly cool off the import policy. To meet the domestic needs, lentils are imported unabated. It can be measured by this that more than 20 lakh tons of peas have been imported in the current financial year so far. For five Pulse crops, the prices of pulses began to collapse before the arrival of the yields from MSP fields. It provides consumer relief, but it is not a good tendency for farmers and business people. The central government issues MSP for five pulses each year. The purpose of protecting farmers from loss is, but the government has begun two -way efforts with a view to increasing demand among consumers. The government has the lowest stock of Pulse first to strengthen the supply chain by increasing domestic production and secondly to balance the market by importing imports from other countries. Meanwhile, Dal buffer stock must also be enriched, as the government has the lowest stock of pulses for the past five years. The government set a target to buy 13.22 Lakh Ton Pulse in the current financial year to fill the date and amount of imports. So far, more than 3.40 lakh ton has been purchased. Even that is good, but the biggest problem facing the farmers is that the date and amount of tax -free imports of yellow peas have been increased. Why don’t farmers get a good price? Last year, the government also introduced about 67 Lakh Ton Pulse to meet the shortage of pulses. It has two -thirds of yellow peas. Also this time, about one -third of the potential requirement was introduced. For the first time on December 8, 2023, the pea was imported tax -free. Since then it has continued. Imported peas are priced at Rs 3000 to 3500 per quint language, while Desi -Deries are 3400 to 3600 rupees per quintal. It is clear that domestic pea producers do not get a good price by importing cheap peas. Rajendra Jain, president of the Bundelkhand Dal Millers Association, demanded the Union Agricultural and Boerewelelyn Minister Shivraj Singhchchouhan to stop the free import of peas. What do experts say? Experts believe that the price of imported peas is the lowest. If not loaded, farmers will stay away from the cultivation of pulses and in such a situation it will not be easy to bring self -sufficiency in pulses. Despite the announcement of the purchase of one hundred percent of Arhar, lentils and Urad, the prices of Arhar and Masoor valley are less than the MSP. To make the country self -sufficient in pulses and to give fair price to farmers, it should not be decided not to expand the tax -free import of PEA from May 31. At the same time, the continued recession in the Pulse businesses must keep in mind, and the Unad must be withdrawn for one year.
