He said this matter should be a serious concern for stakeholders and society to suppress acts of violence in digital space. “In the midst of the increasing threat of violence in the digital space, a comprehensive protection policy for women and children is needed to be implemented immediately,” Lestari said in her statement on Monday (13/10/2025). Based on data from the National Commission (Koma’s) for women in 2024, it was recorded that 61% of victims of digital violence were women. Meanwhile, Safenet reported in 2024 that 70% of the victims of Doxing will be women. Lestari believes that if the process of children’s growth and the dynamics of women’s lives is disrupted, the future of a people has the potential to disrupt. For this reason, he encourages massive digital literacy that women and children are consistently improved. “Apart from that, we should immediately encourage the birth of a comprehensive protection policy in the digital space for women and children,” the member of Commission X DPR R of the Election District II, Central -Java, explained. Lestari also hopes that stakeholders and the community can immediately build strong cooperation in efforts to produce and implement policies.
