Trending listens to the life story of Chaudhary Charan Singh! Chaudhary Charan Singh, known as the Messiah of Boers, was born on December 23, 1902 in the Norwegian town in the MeerUT district in Uttar Pradesh. He participated in the freedom movement led by Mahatma Gandhi. During the Salt Satyagraha in 1930, he even had to go to jail. In 1967 he became the chief minister of Uttar Pradesh. While holding the post of Chief Minister, he launched many welfare schemes for farmers and the poor. He left Congress because of differences with Indira Gandhi. He did so because of corruption cases in the party and the party’s policy towards farmers. It was painful for him to leave Congress after being in Congress for 40 years. He broke away from the congress and formed the lure, which later formed an independent political identity as the Janata party. He died on May 29, 1987. His policy is still considered ideal for farmers. Farmers Day will be celebrated on December 23 in honor of him. He believed that the right India lives in the towns and that the nation could only be prosperous if its rural areas were upgraded. He always said that unless the economic condition of farmers improves, the progress of the country is not possible. Charan Singh is not remembered because he was the chief minister or the prime minister, but because he gave a strong voice to the exploited class.
