Miami (AP) -otto Lopez hit a three-run homer in his first game on the injured list and Liam Hicks added a two-run shot to give a strong start by Cal Quantrill, and the Miami Marlins on Sunday to a 5-1 victory over the Tampa Bay Rays. Quantrill (3-4) allowed one run and two strokes in five innings with six strokes for Miami, which improved at home to 12-13 with the first win of the series since winning two of three against Cincinnati from April 21-23. Lopez, who has been on the 10-day I with a sprained ankle since May 3, made Homer after Matt Mervis singled out with a double and Eric Wagaman to put runners on the corners in the third innings of Rays Starter Shane Baz (3-3). Hicks’ two-run shot of Baz came in sixth place. Ronny Henriquez, Jesus Tinoco, Calvin Faucher and Anthony Bender all had a scoreless turn to complete the victory for Miami. Taylor Wells led third place with a hike, stole second and recorded on a field worker’s Choice Grounder by Yandy Díaz, who wrongly treated Lopez on the second basis to give Tampa Bay a 1-0 lead. Baz allowed five runs and nine strokes in six innings. He gave up 21 runs in May and 30 strokes in four started with 18 2/3 overs. Quantrill loaded the bases in third with one out and one run in, but he retired Brandon Lowe on a lineout to the center before getting Junior Caminero in a double game. Henriquez allowed the only hit in four innings through Miami’s bull. Rays: RHP Ryan Pepiot (2-5, 3.93) begins on Monday to start a home field of nine games with three against Houston. LHP Colton Gordon (0-0, 6.23) makes its second start for the Astros. Marlins: RHP Edward Cabrera (0-1, 5.52) begins Monday’s opener of a series of three games against the visiting cubs. ___
