Lost contact in Makassar Waters, ambulance ship found in Madura Strait
Jakarta – The ambulance ship that was reported to have lost contact in the waters of the Pangkajene Islands (Pangkep), Makassar Strait, South Sulawesi (Sulsel), has been found. The ship with 3 passengers was found in Madura Street. “Yes, it was found. I confirmed with the family (ship crew) earlier that it was found. It was found in the waters of Sapeken Puang (Madura Strait),” said Kasiops Basarnas Makassar Andi Sultan as reported by detikSulsel, Friday (24/10/2025). He admitted that he had just seen the photo and immediately contacted the crew’s family. “But until now we have not been able to communicate directly with the crew, we have only seen pictures,” he said. He also admitted to receiving a video of the crew’s meeting with their families. However, the family said the crew will be allowed to rest first. Earlier it was reported that the ambulance ship lost contact in Pangkep waters, Makassar Strait.
