The state was supposed to get Rs 44,355 crore for various schemes but received only Rs 8,027 crore. Important schemes like Jal Jeevan Mission are also affected. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has launched many schemes from the soil of Madhya Pradesh itself. Generosity towards the state was also seen in the budget but currently its benefits are not being received for the last few days. Rs 8,561 crore was supposed to be received in the priority Jal Jeevan mission from both the governments, which was not received. The state government must arrange funds from its own budget, which also affects budget management. What did the report reveal? Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav recently reviewed the budget on a half-yearly basis. When reports were taken from the departments on the revenue situation, it came to light that funds were not received for the Jal Jeevan Mission. Moreover, in other schemes it was reported that the central share was less or not available at all. A provision of Rs 68,619 crore has been made in various schemes of the central government in the year 2025-2026. In this, the state share is Rs 24,263 crore and the central share is Rs 44,355 crore. Between April 1 and October 7, 2025, only Rs 8,027 crore was received as the central share, i.e. 18.09 percent. Work is also affected by this. 1,460 crore out of Rs 3,321 crore in Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan, 858 out of 1,150 crore from Central Road Fund for roads, bridges, 92.28 out of 400 crore in Indira Gandhi Widow Pension, 197 out of 1,1 Indir Pension 1,1 in A5 Indir2 Gcrore 533 out of 3,160 in MNREGA, Prime Minister’s residence 1,987 out of 2,640, rural livelihood 80 out of 480 funds were received in the Mission, only Rs 1,035 crore out of 2,652 crore rupees were received in the National Health Mission. On the other hand, funds were not given in various schemes including Nirmal Bharat Abhiyan, Pradhan Mantri Jan Man Awas and Sadak, Pradhan Mantri Agricultural Irrigation, Pradhan Mantri AdarshGram, Post Matric Scholarship of Scheduled Caste Welfare, OBC Student Increase, AYUSH Mission, Ken Compj System Linkage Project, Transport Commission, Transport Commission Abhiyan. Finance Department officials say that some items are not included in the figures displayed on the department’s website. The Government of India gives funds directly in the accounts linked to some schemes. Many restrictions in the second supplementary budget On the other hand, the government has started preparations to present the second supplementary budget in the winter session of the Assembly which is proposed in November-December. In this, many restrictions are imposed on the departments. They will not be able to offer to buy any new vehicle. The department will only accept such proposals for which the finance department has previously given its consent. Financial assistance may be sanctioned by the Government of India or any other agency, but additional resources cannot be arranged from the saving amount by deducting the amount available in the existing schemes, or additional budget is required for the works sanctioned by the Government of India under the Special Capital Assistance Scheme. Concrete initiative should be taken to get funds from the Government of India: Patwari On the other hand, regarding the financial condition of the state, the state Congress president Jitu Patwari raised questions about the functioning of the government. He wrote a letter to Chief Minister dr. Mohan Yadav wrote and said that when there is a dual car government then why the central share is not given. The central government released only Rs 8,027 crore of the Rs 44,355 crore earmarked for the schemes to Madhya Pradesh. Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, Jal Jeevan Mission, PM E-Bus Scheme, sub-health centres, new medical colleges, Ken-Betwa project and other schemes related to urban development are affected due to non-receipt of funds from the Government of India. It has come to light that funds have been stopped in Jal Jeevan mission due to allegations of corruption. He demanded from the Chief Minister that concrete initiative should be taken to release the pending funds of various schemes of the Government of India. Allegations of corruption must be investigated impartially and strict action must be taken against the guilty.
