Pokdarkamtibmas Bhayangkara provides help to the victims of the North Jakarta fire
Jakarta – Bhayangkara’s awareness of safety and public order (Pokdarkamtibs) held a humanitarian action at the place of the Kapuk Muara Fire, Penjaringan, North Jakarta. There they distributed 100 packets of food to children to suitable clothing to refugees. The activity was held on Saturday (6/14) in a refugee tent of burnt offerings in Kapuk Muara, Penjaringan, North Jakarta. On that occasion, the chairman of Pokdarkamtibs Bhayangkara symbolically handed over help in the form of 100 food packages, 15 boxes of mineral water and suitable clothing. The social action received full support from the Jakarta Metropolitan Police. Combes Harri added, the humanitarian mission performed by Pokdarkamtibmas Bhayangkara is clear evidence that the spirit of Solidarity and mutual cooperation is still becoming strong in the community. It is hoped that the help provided can ease the burden on the victims and restore their enthusiasm to rise again, he said. Meanwhile, the head of the Metro Jaya Police Public Relations Commissioner Ade Ary Syam Indradi has requested the public to pay more attention to aspects of environmental safety, especially in densely populated areas. “We have reminded that residents are not carefree. Make sure the electrical installation at home is safe, do not leave the stove in a light condition, and avoid burning the garbage indifferently. Awareness is the most important key to prevent fires,” said Ade Ary. The fire disaster that occurred a few days before burned more than 500 homes, causing about 800 families (KK) or 3200 people to lose their homes. Until now, the victims still survive on the refugee placed at various points with limited conditions, and they really need help.
