M 6.5 Earthquake shakes Keerom Papua

Jakarta – An earthquake that measures size (m) 6.5 occurred in Keerom, Papua. The epicenter of the earthquake was at a depth of 76 km. Through its official X account, BMKG reported that the earthquake took place on Friday (10/10/2025), at 09.08 WIB. The earthquake was 835 km northeast of Keerom Papua. “Earthquake size 6.5,” BMKG wrote.
