Madhya Pradesh: The youth affects confidence, local products get a boost of pmfme scheme in takeuch
Takeuch, September 17 (IANS). The Premier Upgrade Scheme (PMFME) upgrade scheme launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi opens a new door of self-activity for youth in rural, semi-urban and urban areas. This scheme, based on the principle of ‘Wocal for Local’, reinforces the local manufacturing, market and supply chains. The impact of this scheme is clearly visible in the takeuch district Madhya Pradesh, where trained unemployed and small traders on the path of self -sufficiency grow by installing micro food processing units. According to Atar Singh Kannaauji, deputy director of the District Horticulture Department, the youth are made aware by publicity, meetings and seminars in the district under the PMFME scheme. This year, 35 youth in the district gained the benefit of this scheme, while more than 150 new businesses have been established over the past four years. This business works in areas such as the spices, dairy, oil mills, which not only promote self -activity but also work at the local level. In areas such as Javad, Sarwania Maharaj and Ummedpura, the youth not only create work for themselves, but also offer opportunities to others. Sarwania Maharaj’s Varsha Sharma and his Devrani Pinky Sharma started a cold purple oil unit named ‘Shiva Dhara Fresh Food’ by taking a loan of Rs 12 Lakh under the PMFME scheme. This unit produces pure edible oil from peanuts, sesame and mustard. Varsha Sharma said: “We started this business by taking a loan from this scheme. We thank Prime Minister Modi, whose efforts we become self -sufficient.” Similarly, Javad’s Mohammad Farooq set up a garlic processing unit using Rs 11 Lakh. Its unit consists of rating, peel and packaging of garlic, the goods of which reach many states, including Gujarat, Rajasthan. Farooq said: “The scheme has helped grow my business. My unit has given work to 8-10 people. This scheme is for everyone without discrimination.” Kishan Sheopura, Avatar of Tarapur Village in Javad, started a dairy unit with a loan of Rs 6 Lakh. They prepare products such as Mawa, Ghee and sweets of 3-4 quintal milk per day. Avatar said: “I worked 10-20 liters of milk earlier, but this scheme has strengthened my economic condition and now I am doing business on a large scale.” -Ians Aks/Sch
