Mumbai, September 24 (IANS). A sad incident in Andheri in Mumbai shocked the entire city. Chetan Manoj Bhatre, a 23 -year -old young man living in Santoshi Mata Chawl, was brutally murdered by his father and grandfather’s knife on Tuesday night, while the uncle sustained serious injuries. The accused surrendered at the local police station immediately after the incident with a blood -stained knife in his hand. Mumbai police arrested him and registered a murder case and began questioning. According to the MIDC police station, Chetan works as a delivery boy at a medical store. When he returned home at about 23:30 on Tuesday night, the old enmity in the family burst again. His father Manoj Bhatre (57 years), Dada Babu Bhatre (79 years) and Uncle Anil Bhatre (54 years) were drunk and fought among themselves. Chetan said that the father began to attack him in a state of intoxication, making him angry and lifted the knife out of the kitchen and attacked the three. Father and Grandpa sustained serious injuries, of whom he died. Uncle Anil somehow saved his life, but his throat was sanded. He was rushed immediately to Nair Hospital, where doctors described his condition stan. After the incident, Chetan, blowing knives in hand, reached the MIDC police station directly and surrendered. The officer on duty immediately arrested him and notified the seniors. Initial interrogation, Chetan, revealed that alcohol addiction and regular quarrels in the family made the home hell. He said, “My father, grandfather and uncle were all drunk. They exchanged every day and abused my earnings. My mother left the house after she was of this harassment two years ago. My sister also went through this pain. I was broken.” Police have registered a case under Articles 103 (Murder) and 109 (attempted murder) of the Code of India Justice (BNS).
