Eknath Shinde, Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra, held an important meeting with the leaders of Shiv Sena in the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) elections. Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde said on Sunday that the preparations for the upcoming municipal corporation election have been reinforced and some branch plays an important role. He said this in the context of BMC election. Shinde emphasized a meeting of all the branches and office carriers that the party’s ground leadership is its backbone and will play a central role in ensuring the victory. Shinde said: “Municipal corporation elections are expected to be announced soon. If I keep this in mind, I called a meeting of branches on Sunday. They are the strength of the party and solve the everyday problems of the people in their respective areas. Now all our branches are fully active and they will end up with full preparation as soon as they are preferred.” He further said that the Shiv Sena has a legacy of election fights at all levels of Lok Sabha and meeting to municipal corporations, and that his worker is proficient in mobilizing the ground level. Shinde announced: “The resolution in the minds of our branch heads is clear that the Shiv Sena flag should be blown in the municipal corporations, especially BMC and the next mayor will definitely be from Mahayuti (Grand Alliance).” The meeting also focused on the identity and solution of local issues that people face daily, and the message was confirmed that effective problems at ground level are the identity of the party. According to Shinde, this direct contact between citizens and branches will be the key to gaining the confidence in the public in the election.
