The Punjab and Haryana High Court has made significant changes in the judicial structure and issued orders for transfer and new appointments of 13 judicial officers of the Punjab High Judicial Service. In the released list, nine additional District and Sessions Judges were promoted and appointed as District and Sessions Judges. Among the promoted officers are Ms. Jatinder Kaur-II appointed as District and Sessions Judge, Amritsar, while Bal Bahadur Singh Teji has been transferred from Barnala and given the charge of Legal Remembrancer and Principal Secretary (Law), Government of Punjab, Chandigarh. Avtar Singh has been sent to Patiala from Fazilka, while Neelam Arora has been appointed as District and Sessions Judge in Moga of Firozpur. Anshul Berry was promoted from Bathinda to Barnala, Manjot Kaur was made District and Sessions Judge from Mohali to Rupnagar and Dharminder Paul Singla was promoted to Fazilka. Additionally, Rajneesh Garg has been posted as Presiding Officer, State Transport and Food Safety Appellate Tribunal, Punjab (Chandigarh) on deputation, while Sanjeev Joshi has been given the charge of District and Sessions Judge, Faridkot. In other transfers, Dinesh Kumar Wadhwa has been transferred to the CBI court, SAS Nagar and Arun Kumar Aggarwal has been transferred to the State Legal Services Authority, UT. Was appointed as Member Secretary, Chandigarh. The High Court ordered that all officers should take charge of the new post with immediate effect. It was also said that if any officer has pending cases of MPs or MLAs, it should be transferred to the competent court.
