On Tuesday evening at 8.03 pm, a goods train loaded with coal heading towards Delhi derailed between Vrindavan Road-Ajhai railway station. 12 carriages derailed and overturned. The engine separated from the vehicle and stopped at the front. The train track was damaged due to the derailment of the coach. The OHE broke and the sleepers were also damaged. These affected trains were Up route Mewar, Haridwar-Bandra Express, Uttar Pradesh Sampark Kranti Express, Kerala Express, Karnataka Express. Downward route Nanda Devi Express and Shatabdi Express have been affected. The down route Punjab Mail arrived at the Junction railway station at 20:20 and Sogaria Express at 20:15.
