Punjab: Nomination of 15 Candidates for Ludhiana West accepted by the election

Chandigarh, June 3 (IANS). Nominations of 15 candidates were accepted after the nomination papers were investigated for Ludhiana West meeting through Punjab. Head of state Sibin C., on Tuesday, said a total of 22 candidates filed nominations for this seat from May 26 to June 2. After examining the nomination papers, nominations of 15 candidates were found valid. Among the candidates whose nominations have been found valid are Baldev Raj Katna (independent), Bharat Bhushan (congress), Parupkar Singh Ghumman (Shiromani Akali Dal), Sanjeev Arora (Aaam Aadmi Party), Paramjit Singh Bharj (Independent), Jatinder Kumar Sharma (independent), (National Partice)) Kamal Pawar (Independent), Rajesh Sharma (Independent), Rajesh Sharma (Independent), Jeevan (BJP), Navneet Kumar (Shiromani Akali Dal-Amritsar), Renu (Independent), Pawandeep Singh (independent), and Gurdeep Singh Kahlon (independent). The chief election officer said the names will be withdrawn by June 5, after which the photo will be clear how many candidates will be in the fight for the election. The political atmosphere about this seat of Punjab was already warm, which was vacant after the death of the current MLA Gurpreet Gogi Bassi, 58. Bassi died after being shot in January. Votes will be cast on June 19 for the election in Ludhiana West Assembly. At the same time, the votes are counted on June 23. The ruling AAM AADMI party in the state declared Rajya Sabha member Arora as his candidate for the February election. The congress produced former Minister Bhushan Ashu against Arora. Ashu is accused of transporting food grains and laboratory cars tender scam worth rupees. At the same time, the Akali Dal Ghumman nominated for the door election and Jeevan Gupta through the BJP. There are speculations in political circles that if Arora wins the election, you can go to Rajya Sabha in place of convener Arinde Kejriwal.
