Mmrda successfully completed the construction of underground tunnel in Metro Route 7a

After the Metro line is put into operation, Meera Bhayandar (Metro Line 9) will offer connection to the International Airport with the region and the Western Suburbs A (Metro Line 2A and Metro Line 7). Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis saw an important milestone on Thursday (April 17, 2025) when the Tunnel Boring Machine (TBM) for the Mumbai Metro Line 7A achieved a success. This is the first tunnel success made by the Mumbai Metropolitan Area Development Authority (MMRDA) for the underground metro project in Mumbai. Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis inspected ‘Downline Tunnel Breaktrrow’ and checked the progress of the metro line in the Vile Parle area in Mumbai. Mr. Fadnavis said: “TBM has successfully completed the tunnel’s success today by going below the elevated roads above the Metro line 3, with large sewage channels and water channels.” Share this story -tags
