Man fatally shot in North Lawndale

A man was fatally shot Friday afternoon in North Lawndale, Chicago police said.

Omar Cobbs, 48, was discovered in the 1500 block of South Homan Avenue on Friday at around 3:04 pm He had multiple gunshot wounds, according to police.

Cobbs, of the 3100 block of West Douglas Boulevard, was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

No one was in custody, and detectives are investigating.
