Imphal, September 19 (IANS). Assam Rifles condemned the terror attack on Friday night in the Bishnupur district Manipur. Security forces have strengthened a search operation to look for terrorists. In fact, at 17.50 o’clock, unknown terrorists had an ambush at Nambol Sabal Leikai on National Highway-2 at 17.50 o’clock at 17.50 o’clock. In this attack, 33 Assam Rifles Naib Subedar Shyam Gurung (58) and Rifleman Ranjit Singh Kashyap, 29, were tortured, while five other soldiers were injured. Lieutenant General Vikas Lakhera, AVSM, SM, Director Assam Rifles, and all ranks paid tribute to the tortured soldiers and expressed deeply condolences to their families. After the terror attack, the injured were immediately included in the Regional Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS) of Imhal, where their condition is stable. No group has taken responsibility for the attack yet. The injured soldiers include Ningthukhongzam Nongathon (48, Imhal Eastern), DJ Dutta (36, Lakhimpur, Assam), BK Rai (58, Sikkim), MP Sangma (46, Tura, Tura, Meghalaya), and Subhash Chandra (Uttarakhand). Dr. Rims director Sunilkumar Sharma said: “A Jawan was moved to Shiza Hospital, the remaining four are here and out of danger. Most have bones injuries. We try our best. ‘ Former Chief Minister N. Biren Singh reached rims and met the injured soldiers and tackled their situation. He strongly condemned the attack, saying: “This act is a conspiracy to disturb the peace of Manipur. The central and state governments will act strictly.” Singh is demanding the deployment of additional center security forces. ADGP (Intelligence) of Manipur police Ashutosh Kumar Sinha said: “We condemn the attack. A search operation to catch the terrorists has begun. Assam rifles and police collectively attack suspicious areas.” The Ministry of Defense has issued a statement saying: “The sacrifice of our soldiers will not go in vain. The responsibilities will be caught soon.” The center has ordered a high -level investigation. Initial inquiry revealed that the attackers used the darkness and attacked with automatic weapons. A sudden shooting started on the 407 Tata truck, which did great damage. In recent months in Manipur, the incidents of violence have increased amid Cookie-Matei tension, although this attack has not confirmed that any community is connected.
