Manipur: Emphasis on the fight against NCC cadets with training, terrorism and propaganda on 'Operation Sindoor'

IMPHAL, SEPTEMBER 12 (IANS). A special lecture was arranged on ‘Operation Sindoor’ at the NCC Group headquarters at the DM College campus in Manipur’s Capital Infal. Colonel (Operation) Amit Sharma addressed NCC cadets during the event organized by 9 Sector Assam rifles. The purpose of this session held in Impal was to make the youth aware of terrorism and propaganda and strengthen their role in national security. Colonel Sharma explained extensively about ‘Operation Sindoor’, which was an accurate military operation to disable terrorist groups supported by Pakistan. He explained that the Indian army targeted terrorist camps in this operation and ensured that there were no civilian casualties. Sharma said: “This operation was important to maintain peace and stability in India.” He called on cadets to be careful with such safety campaigns and collective contribution to the defense of the country. The session had a thorough discussion on strategic aspects and operational processes. “We made a wonderful presentation on the lesson and extensive networks of Operation Sindoor,” said the commander of Colonel Patma Kumar, commander of the headquarters of the NCC Group Infal. He said special attention was paid to awareness against propaganda and misleading information in the session. Colonel Kumar said the cadets learned how to seriously assess such information and how to protest it effectively. This training further strengthened the feeling of responsibility for national security in cadets. Cadets are told that fake news distributed on social media weakens the national unit and it is their responsibility to deny such information. This session is an important step in preparing the cadets of NCC for the future and setting fire to the spirit of patriotism. More than 200 cadets participated in the program. -Ians Sch/DKP Share this story Tags
