Manipur Global Buyers and Sellers Summit 2025 Starting, Global Showcase of State's business potential
IMPHAL, OCTOBER 10 (IANS). The two -day ‘Manipur Global Buyers and Sellers Summit 2025’ started on Friday in City Convention Center, Manipur. The opportunity is focused on the theme ‘Connecting Trade Without Borders’ and is part of the driveway (increases and accelerates the performance of MSMEs) initiative of the Union Ministry of Mikro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME). The conference is an attempt to connect the state entrepreneurs with the world market under the joint Aegis of Directorate Trade, Trade and Industry, Manipur Industrial Development Corporation (Manidco) and Manipur Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MSSI). Manipur Governor Ajay Kumar Bhalla attended the inauguration of the conference as a special guest. In his speech, he appreciates the state’s business potential, rich natural resources and competent workforce. Bhalla said: “This summit symbolizes Manipur’s position as a strategic gateway to global trade. The efforts to promote women-led businesses and sustainable, inclusive growth are commendable.” Additional general secretary (textiles, trade and industry and transport) Anurag Bajpai and the president of the MCCI, dr. Basudev Singh, was also present during the first ceremony. In this two-day occasion, local entrepreneurs and indigenous products indigenous products show up with buyers and sellers of Myanmar, Bangladesh, Thailand, Japan and northeast states.
