Manipur: Joint operation of security forces in Kakching, large amount of weapons repaired.
Kohima, October 9 (IANS). In an anti-disposal in the Kakching district Manipur, a joint team of Assam rifles and Kakching police commando performed a well-planned search operation in Thambal Chingya area. A large amount of weapons was recovered in this operation. The operation, which was launched on the basis of specific intelligence, targeted the presence of militants and a suspected hiding place filled with war material. This 16 -member joint team conducted a thorough investigation into the location, after which a great weapon and ammunition was recovered. In this operation, the joint team found one AK-47 rifle, one G3 rifle, one custom single-barrel gun, three rifle with a single-barrel, one hand grenade and 60 cartridges from different calibers. Apart from this, other ammunition has also been restored during surgery, which can be important in stopping militant activities. Assam rifles immediately handed over the storytelling weapons and ammunition to the Kakching police station for further investigation and legal action.
