Delhi saw strong winds accompanied by Dust Storm on April 18, Friday, and gave Delhiites of the Heatwave relief. The temperature dropped from 36 to 27 degrees Celsius. Indian Meteorological Division (IMD) on Delhi Weather The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) predicted that Delhi will see light rain and thunderstorms on Saturday, April 19, as the heatwave in the northwest of the country begins to decline. Saturday begins with partly cloudy air and is generally cloudy by evening. The maximum temperature is likely to be about 38 degrees Celsius, while the minimum 26 degrees Celsius is Saturday. This weather is expected to continue until April 20, with a clear forecast for April 21. The regional-with-center in New Delhi in its Saturday forecast said: “Partly cloudy air generally becomes cloudy air in the evening. Very light rain/drop. Thunderstorm/lightning/dust storm accompanied by sustained surface wind reaching 40-50 kmph to 60 kmph.” The city had a maximum temperature of 41 degrees Celsius, 4.2 notch above normal, the IMD said. Meanwhile, the air quality in the afternoon was in the poor category on Friday, with an air quality index (AQI) lecture of 219. According to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), an AQI between 0 and 50 is considered well, between 51 and 100 satisfactory, between 101 and 200 moderately, between 201 and 300 poor, between 301 and 500. The weather in other countries of India continued to suffer from intense heat on Friday, with numerous places that recorded maximum temperatures above 45 degrees Celsius. However, the weather division predicted that strong winds and dust storms could provide some rest on such conditions from April 20. Areas in Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Himachal Pradesh may also experience heavy rainfall, snowfall or hailstorm on April 19 due to a Western disorder coming near the western Himalayan region.
