It is told that Maoists in the Saranda area during the retrenchment week on Saturday night attacked the Mobile Tower of Airtel Company in the Kolbhonga town of Jaraikela police station. The barbed wire investment of the mobile tower was broken and the generator, panel unit and power unit were set on fire. Whereby the communication system of the mobile tower came to a standstill. According to sources, about 20 to 25 armed Maoists, including women, reached the Kolbhonga town at about 20-9 hours. The mobile tower of Airtel Company, which was founded at a distance of about 200 meters from the Kolbhonga school, was attacked. They broke the cordon of the tower complex and poured gasoline on the genset and the control unit below and set it on fire. Within a short time, the entire equipment was burned to ashes. Due to the incident, there is panic in the area around Kolbhonga. According to the villagers, the Maoists set fire to the place of the tower, the Maoist slogans raised on the spot and tried to convey the message that their influence on the Saranda area was still intact. It is believed that the purpose of this attack was to disrupt the communication system of the security forces so that information about their activities could not go out. Once information about the incident was received, a joint team of police and CRPF left for the place on Sunday. Right now, the search operation in the entire area has been strengthened.
