Pakistan Cricket Board, Jason Gillespie plays blame game over pending salary; PCB says Aussie coach 'violates' contract | Mint

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has denied all claims made by former coach Jason Gillespie that the Australian violated his contract. Gillespie, who was initially appointed as the Pakistan test coach, later received the responsibility of the men in Green’s white ball teams, PCB accused him of not paying his fees. Gillespie with Gary Kirsten was appointed as Pakistan’s test and white-ball coaches in 2024 on a two-year contract. With the results that did not come on Pakistan’s path, Kirsten was the first to retire at work just after six months. After the resignation of Kirsten, Gillespie received the responsibility of Pakistan’s white ball teams in their tour through Australia. On their return, Gillespie also put down his newspapers in which he mentions differences of opinion with the PCB. Since resigning from his post, Gillespie has often criticized the PCB in various interviews for the way Pakistan cricket was operated and even said he still owes some compensation from the council. “Yes, without going into the details, of course, awaits some compensation of the work done. So just navigate over time. Admittedly, it was a little disappointing, but look, hopefully it can be sorted sooner than later. If so, hopefully, it’s sorted as soon as possible, ‘the 50-year-old says in one of the interviews recently. What did PCB answer? The PCB responds to the comments of Gillespie and issues a statement stating: “The Pakistan Cricket Board refuts claims by a former head coach on the non-payment of his fees.
