The Governor of Banten talks about inclusive education
Serang -Banten -Governor Andra Soni inaugurated the Disability Services Unit (ULD) at the Banten Province Teaching and Culture Office. He hopes that the presence of Uwn services and assistance provides for children with disabilities in Special Schools (SKH). “Persons with disabilities should have the same opportunity, extensive opportunities to get proper education, extensive opportunities for work and career, as well as broad opportunities for achievements,” Andra said in the comments of the UID launch and the implementation of the Indonesian competency competition (LKI) at SMK 1 Enyer, Tuesday (6/10/2025). Andra said the Banten Provincial Government had several hope related to the administration of special education. The first thing is that teachers are able to create and maintain hot class communication and accept diversity. Browse to continue with the second content is the application of a multiple and multimodality curriculum. For him, an inclusive class means no longer learning about the curriculum, but is centered on children. “The result is the flexibility of the curriculum, the application of individual program services, or group process approaches in the implementation of the multiple curriculum and multimodality,” he said. Third, the government should prepare and encourage teachers to interact. Changes in the curriculum are closely related to changes in learning methods. “Traditional class models, where a teacher alone struggles to meet the needs of all children in class, must be replaced by a learning model in which students work together, teach each other and actively participate in their education,” he said. For Andra, special education must form the nature of cooperation, not the attitude of competition. “The relationship between cooperative education and inclusive classes is now clear; all children are in one class not to compete, but to work together and learn from each other,” he said.
