Remember the Russian woman found at 2 daughters in the cave! Supreme Court gave an important decision

Last updated: September 27, 2025, 18:26 IST Nina Kutina News: Karnataka High Court Nina Kutiina and their two daughters allowed travel documents to return to Russia, and Shlomo Goldstein opposed the captivity of children. The Russian woman was found with her two daughters in a cave of Ramatirtha Hills. Bengaluru, the Karnataka High Court, allowed the central government to release the travel documents on Friday for the return of a Russian woman and her two minor daughters, who were found in a cave in a coastal area in Karnataka. Justice BM Shyam Prasad gave this order while filing a petition by Israeli citizen, Shlomo Goldstein. Goldstein claims to be the father of children. Goldstein requested the court not to introduce the center not to immediately deport the minor children. The woman, known as Nina Kutiina, was found in a cave of Ramatirtha Hills near Gokarna in Kumta Taluka on July 11. Officials said he and his children live there for about two months without a valid travel or residence documents. Goldstein had earlier filed a complaint with the Panaji police station in Goa when he could not find his children in India in December last year. The court registered during the Friday trial that the Russian Consulate issued emergency travel documents for Kutiina and their daughters, which were only valid until October 9. The court also addressed the letter that Kutiina sent to the Consulate, expressing his desire to return to Russia as soon as possible. Goldstein’s lawyer argued that such a step would be against the best interests of the children, while the supervision is still pending. However, the court found that Goldstein gave no satisfactory explanation as to why the mother and children were isolated in a cave before being rescued. The bank emphasizes the principle of welfare of children and said that the mother’s request to return to Russia and the readiness of the Russian government to help in their home is more important than other things. The ASG told the court during the hearing on Friday that the DNA report was received from the second daughter and that the Russian government had been notified, which issued Russian citizenship and emergency travel documents (ETDs) to enable them to visit Russia.
