Train will run between Mizoram Hills for the first time, Premier Modi shows Green Signal on September 13
Mizoram, September 12 (IANS). Prime Minister Narendra Modi is on a tour of Mizoram on September 13. During this time he will set up the New Railway Line project of Belabi Giranrang. The project links Mizoram’s capital Aizawl to the Indian Railway Network, which is a historical achievement for the state. About 51 km long railway was built at a cost of Rs 8,000 crore. With the completion of this project, Aizawl will become the fourth capital of the northeastern region, which will be linked to the National Rail Network. Earlier, Guwahati, Agartala and Itanagar joined the railway networks. This expansion of rail connection will not only facilitate the movement of people, but will also receive a new pace for trade, tourism and economic development. Before the tour, Prime Minister Narendra Modi shared the information about X and said: ‘I’m eager to be between my siblings in Aizawl on September 13. This trip is very special, as this incredible city will join the Railway Network for the first time with the inauguration of the new railway. This railway is built on a very challenging terrain and contains very large and small bridges. Trading and tourism will be promoted with the advent of rail connection. The foundation stone of major road projects will also be laid. Other projects include the Foundation Stone of the Khelo India Multipurs Indoor Hall and the inauguration of the Eklavya Model Residential School in Talanganuam in Kavratha. Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav also expressed enthusiasm about the project. He said: “It is a matter of great pride that Mizoram’s dream will be fulfilled by Prime Minister Modi. The prime minister will also set three new trains on Saturday, including Rajdhani Express for Delhi, a Kolkata train and a Guwahati train train.” He further said that work is also being done to start the cargo facility in Mizoram and the system of goods will be implemented soon.
