Mayor Eri gathers hotel bosses all over Surabaya after the excitement of the Gay Party case

Jakarta – Mayor of Surabaya Eri Cahyadi gathered all general managers (GM) of hotels in Surabaya. The hotel management was convened after an uproar at a same-sex party that was raided at a hotel in the Ngagel area, Surabaya. Reported by detikJatim, Friday (24/10/2025), Eri called for strict supervision of all hotels in Surabaya. Eri warned that Surabaya, which was built according to religious laws, should not be touched. “So yesterday there was such an incident (a gay party) in Surabaya. So I gathered hotels to convey that Surabaya is a city built with religious laws, with the power of religion, don’t tarnish Surabaya with such things (same-sex parties),” said Eri at the Sawunggaling building. Eri plans to do training for the hotel in cooperation with the police. “Through training that will later cooperate with the police, various institutions. You must turn on instinct, 30 rooms will be installed. You must dreer (alarm), do it in all hotels. Do not let the hotels in Surabaya have no connection and cannot maintain the conduciveness of the city of Surabaya,” he explained. He also asked the hotel to report immediately if they find suspicious guest or visitor activity.
